Something Boxed: Bringing Something Blue to YOU – an in home shopping experience!

All from the comfort of your own home, our simple process will give you our special bridal boutique experience, and help you check this big task off your list! Many brides are planning their weddings amidst this COVID-19 shutdown, and your wedding dress is not something you want to wait on!

Haven’t found your wedding dress? No worries! Something Boxed includes specially chosen gowns based on your style, accessories to make you feel like a bride, your own personal stylist appointment [live via video chat!] and your very own video call link to send to your entourage so they can all be there for that special #sayyes moment! We will answer questions about fit, style, color and everything in between!

Your styling fee will be credited to your purchase! 

Our exclusive Something Boxed service can help you easily check this task off your list in just a few easy (and fun!) steps!

Step one:

Book your Something Boxed consultation.  Fill out our “Say Yes to the Dress Form” so we can get to know you a little better and what you are looking for.

Step two:

Login in for your initial consultation During this 45 min appointment we will go over style, budget and pick out some of our favorite dresses together. By the end of your appointment you’ll have picked out 1-3 dresses that are maybes and we’ll get them ready to ship! We’ll also schedule your virtual fitting appointment!

Step Three: 

Receive your Something Boxed and get ready for your Say Yes appointment. Send your private link to your friends and family that you’d like to join you for your Say Yes moment! We’ll go over fitting questions, color questions, and accessories!

Step Four:

Say YES to the dress! Congratulations on saying yes to the dress! Something Blue will send you an invoice for the items you said YES to, minus the $100 deposit.

Step Five:

Pack up the maybes and send them back to Something Blue with the prepaid shipping label. You have 7 days from the day you receive your Something Boxed shipment to schedule your SAY YES appointment, and to ship it back.

 

FAQ

WHERE CAN SOMETHING BOXED BE SHIPPED?

As this is a brand new service to try and help  brides through the current COVID-19 shut down. It’s important to stay on top of your wedding timeline and we can help! Something Boxed can be shipped anywhere in the United States.

 

CAN PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 18 USE SOMETHING BOXED?

Unfortunately, we are unable to serve individuals under the age of 18.

WILL I BE CHARGED IF I RETURN EVERYTHING IN MY BOX WITH NO ORDER?

You will not be charged as long as all items are in their original, unworn condition with tags still on. The styling fee is non-refundable. (But remember, it is credited toward any purchases you make.)

WHEN WILL I BE CHARGED?

The  $150 styling fee is charged once your box ships. After we receive your box back, we’ll charge you for any items that you’ve said “YES” to (less the styling fee, which is credited toward your purchase.) 

HOW MUCH DOES SOMETHING BOXED COST?

You only pay for what you keep, so it’s up to you! Each box has a $150 styling fee that’s credited toward your final purchase.

WILL I GET TO REVIEW PRICING BEFORE I RECEIVE MY BOX?

Yes. You will get to finalize your dress selections during your initial consultation.

When you’re done, your stylist will make any necessary adjustments and process shipment. Inside your box, there will also be a packing list with a breakdown of what items are included and the price of each.

WILL MY ITEMS FIT STRAIGHT OUT OF THE BOX?

Most likely, no. That is why we will be sending our fitting tools with your box. Bridal gowns are made with primarily non-stretch fabric and with standard sizing. However, most women fall between sizing, we will help you through this process and show you how to use the fitting tools provided to get the best feel for how the dress will fit when sized and altered to you.

HOW MUCH DO ALTERATIONS COST?

Our in house seamstress JoDee has been helping brides with their dresses for over 30 years and better yet she’s probably one of the sweetest ladies you’ve ever met! Our average alterations are about $400. This covers the cost of the “normal” things that need to be done to most dresses. Click here to see Katie explain a little more about alterations! 

We have also seen alterations done for far less, and we do believe in the saying, you get what you pay for.

WHAT SIZES DO YOU CARRY?

Our style boxes have samples that range from size 0-30. Even if you fall below that size we can assure you that utilizing the fitting tools we provide you will be able to see how the gown will fit once in your size.

HOW DO I RETURN A BOX?

The same day you receive your box, you’ll receive an email for scheduling a free pickup from UPS. Once you’ve tried everything on, or had your virtual styling appointment, simply pack everything back into the box with the tape strips and prepaid return label provided. Pickups are available the next business day.

You’re also welcome to drop your box at any UPS location

ONCE I REQUEST A BOX, WHEN WILL IT SHIP?

Once shipped, your box should arrive within 1-3 business days.

WILL MY TRY ON ITEMS COME IN WITH THE VIRUS ON THEM?

Everytime items are received back to us they go through a cleaning and steaming process before they go out to any new customers.
